Personal Life

Valentina’s love for photography started early. Her grandfather, a Rolleiflex enthusiast, used to pose her for portraits every summer; she got her first camera at 11 and hasn’t stopped shooting since.

After earning a degree in Communication Sciences in Milan, she moved to Barcelona to dive into her PhD research on the history of costume and fashion. Her thesis focused on Cristóbal Balenciaga, tracing his visual legacy through fashion magazines from the 1920s to the 1970s, and exploring the deep influence of Spanish art and culture on his designs.

Fashion runs in the family - her father is a shoe designer, and her first industry job was at Maison Moschino, assisting on wardrobe for editorial shoots.

She’s exhibited her personal photography in two solo shows: Made in Barcelona (2016) and 24 Days of Portugal (2019).

Outside of work, Valentina rides a custom turquoise Triumph Street Twin, volunteers with animal rescue associations, and lives in Barcelona with her three cats - all adopted, of course.
